Paid Marketing Internships

Chico Volkswagen Mazda is looking for individuals interested in the real world experience of marketing services and products through the use of both voice and digital media. Time will be spent primarily in an office setting. Flexible schedules working between the hours of 8am to 7pm Monday through Saturday, and 10am to 4pm Sunday.

Candidates will have to exhibit proficiency in both verbal communication and the ability to write in a coherent fashion. You must present basic computer skills. (Excel, Word, IE, etc…)

Dress Code:  Must look presentable and business professional at all times during your shift. 

Business atmosphere appropriate hair and makeup and fingernails.

No visible tattoos or piercings (other than ears).

Attire: "Business Casual", slacks, or skirt with nice top, or dress and sensible work shoes with rubber sole.  Because of location of desk/chair and the customer, no low cut or bare shoulder or midriff tops and wear appropriate undergarments.  No jeans (dress jeans OK), mini-skirts/dresses, flip flops, tennis shoes or high heels. If unsure, ask - expect to be sent home to change if inappropriate.

Pay is hourly plus bonuses for meeting objectives. Objectives will be set and paid both individually and as a team.

Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you will spend time with customers to determine their needs and discusses vehicle options. You will commit to becoming an automotive expert and gain in-depth knowledge of vehicles and technology. 

Other responsibilities of the Customer Service role include: 

  • Test-driving vehicles to demonstrate industry leading features

  • Completing quotes and explain financing options

  • Following up with prospective and existing customers; returning email / voicemail to confirm their satisfaction

  • Generating new leads through closing sales and business development strategies

  • Maintain database of active prospects and sold customers

  • Developing a Personal Business Development Strategy

  • Selling vehicles at acceptable levels of volume, profit, and customer satisfaction 

    JOB REQUIREMENTS 

    Our successful Customer Service Representatives come from a variety of backgrounds. We are seeking candidates who are team-oriented, competitive, accountable, and committed to improvement. You must be respectful and have a healthy passion for winning. 

    Other requirements of the Customer Service Representatives role include: 

  • Steady Work History with References

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Professional Appearance and Outgoing Personality

  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment

  • Must pass DMV and background check to qualify for employment 

    Excellent Pay plan. Full time employment, must be able to work weekends. We have the most progressive pay plan in the North State.
